Designed to meet the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards. Induction training can be adapted to suit the needs of the organisation and can be delivered in various formats – 3 full days, 6 half days, consecutive days or a day each week.

• Understand the requirements of the role & responsibilities of the care worker

• Know where and how to access your Companies Policies and Procedures and the requirement to work within them

• Understand different methods of communication and how to overcome common barriers

• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of person centred care

• Understand the needs of people with dementia

• Understand the importance and limits of confidentiality

• Develop awareness of the requirements for accurate record keeping

• Be aware of your responsibilities for maintaining safety at work
